Spearfish Da Bahamian Way

Love the thrill of fishing and enjoy snorkelling and freediving? This may be for you!

In The Bahamas we don’t use a speargun - it’s illegal! Our spearfishing requires a little extra skill (and thrill). We aren’t permitted to use scuba gear either - to spearfish in The Bahamas you must use only snorkel gear and a Hawaiian sling (think of it like a large slingshot). It takes some practice and you must build up your skill to make sure your arms are steady and aim is on point. This tour is for those who are already fairly experienced snorkellers and want a little more adventure. Depending on the time of year you can catch a variety of fish and maybe even some lobster!

You will have a trained guide in the water with you at all times and all snorkel and spearfishing gear is provided.

Important to Note: all those wishing to come on this tour who want to learn how to spearfish must already be comfortable in the water and fairly experienced with snorkelling - safety first!

Spear Fishing rates (up to 4 people max):
- $1,600 for a half day (4 hours)
- $1,900 for a (6 hours)
- $2,200 for full day (8 hours)

Spear fishing includes:

• Gear to use on your tour (slings and spears, fins, goggles and snorkel, life vests)

• Instruction with a guide in the water at all times

• JL Audio system

• Toilet onboard

• Fresh water washdown system

• Cooler with ice

• Water, soda and beer

• Light snacks

• Keep your catch (and fillet your catch available - Bahamian regulations for keep your catch apply).
